Easter is a wonderful opportunity to spend time with your family.
As you plan for your celebration here are some practical ways that you can emphasise the true meaning of this special season with your children:
Decorate the house
Get the children involved with more than just Easter eggs. Help them to create decorations for the house using symbols of the season. Create an Easter tree, decorated with lights, purple ribbons, the cross palm branches or eggs.
Make up some hard boiled eggs and get the children to decorate them with Easter themes using paint or texters. Then take the eggs to a local park, find a hilly area and roll the eggs down the hill until they crack .Where eggs are rolled down the hill the objective is usually to see which egg can go the furthest without breaking Once the eggs are cracked you can then eat them.
Easter egg hunt
As the egg is an Easter symbol of the resurrection of Jesus why not have an Easter egg hunt. This game is usually played outdoors and involves children looking for eggs that have been hidden. The kids typically collect the eggs in a basket. When the hunt is over prizes may be given for highest achievements such as the largest number of eggs collected or most eggs collected in a particular colour.
